Last Day in Scotland. Off to London Tonight!!

We are enjoying our last day in Cardonald, Scotland. Tonight we are taking the bus into London. Its just over 8 hours to take the bus so we are catching the 11PM bus so we can sleep on the bus through the night and wake up in down town London in the morning.

We are just relaxing today because yesterday we climbed Ben Nevis which is the highest mountain in the United Kingdom. It was 4406 feet tall. To put that into perspective, Mount Everest is 29,900. It was a 3.5 hour hike up and it only took about 2 hours and 45 minutes to come back down. We took a lot of photos along the way and at the summit of the mountain but the photos definitely don't do it's justice. We started the climb with Dave and Charlotte and about 1\3 of the way up Charlotte wanted to stop, so Dave stayed with here and Graham and I went on. We Made it to the top and there was an old observatory that was there from hundreds of years ago and a little survival hut. We went into the survival hut and ate lunch and just after we finished lunch, Dave and Charlotte showed up. They felt like they couldn't be shown up by Canadians in their own country lol. The hike down was a lot less tiring then the hike up but it was tough with all the loose rocks on the path. All in all it was an amazing day and an even more amazing feat considering It was only 2 days after the 3 month mark of me having knee surgery.
